I am a professional artist, with a passion to replicate what I see using paint. My focus is on colour, mood and catching a feeling that I believe only a paintbrush and paint can achieve. Murals
I love the challenge of painting a mural. I feel comfortable working on a large scale. When commissioned to paint a mural I prefer to visit the 'space' first so I can understand how the painting will work within the environment it will be in. I paint murals for different requirement ranging from children's bedrooms to corporate premises. A hand painted mural can totally transform a room; it can turn a child's bedroom or nursery into a place of fantasy and magic. It will create a truly unique feature wall in any space, home or corporate business environment.
Portraits
I truly believe a painted portrait can capture the mood and emotions of the subject in a way that is totally unique. To fully achieve this aim I need a variety of 'evidence' of the subject. I prefer to work from a combination of photographs and sketches. Through a low key sitting of sketches I can discover the natural characteristics of the subject. I do not paint directly at a sitting. I can work from only photographs; however the more I have, means I can achieve the results I am aiming for. I can take photographs or can work from clients own.
Commissions
Clients need hand drawn or painted media for a wide range of reasons. My commissions gallery contains a selection of work I have undertaken, for example illustrations for business use. If you have a particular request please email or call me for a quote.
